Maib warns about a fraud scheme that scammers use to obtain bank customers' data and access their bank accounts.
Please note that maib employees do not contact customers by phone to communicate supposed login errors or difficulties encountered when using the maibank app. Also, if maib employees contact you, they will not request personal and confidential data, such as your OTP password, card CVV, or any other sensitive information.
Announcements on the temporary discontinuation of maibank services are published on the maib website in the announcements section and in-app notifications. Your vigilance in dealing with personal and confidential data and not providing it to third parties is crucial. If you receive such a call, end the conversation and call maib representatives immediately! If you have become a victim of fraud, temporarily block your cards from the app and immediately call the Contact Center on 1313 or inform us at infofraud@maib.md .
