Lunch Card

• Sign the partnership agreement with maib.
• Accept lunch cards from maib as a payment method.

• Employers can grant employees electronic lunch cards worth 35-55 MDL per working day.
•  This type of remuneration is law exempt from additional taxes and contributions.
• The employer is free to decide the ticket's nominal value within the limit of 35-55 lei.
•  Lunch cards can only be used to purchase food . The money is returned to the employer's company if the funds transferred on the lunch card are not used within 6 months.
•  The nominal value for a lunch card will be  given only for the days worked during the previous month.
• The days when the employee was on annual leave, medical leave or business trip are not considered working days.
• The funds allocated on  lunch cards cannot be used for other operations characteristic of payment cards: transfers, cash withdrawals or additional account top-up.

• It is a nominal VISA card, equipped with PIN and CHIP, for increased security of transactions;
• It has the properties of a contactless card, allowing quick payments and, respectively, saves your employees time.

 Because you:

• distribute employee cards once every 4 years;
•  transfer money automatically and safely during the month without contacting each employee;
•  increase the remuneration of employees without paying contributions;
• increase employee loyalty with less investment, and you save up to 697 lei per employee (e.g., usually, to increase the salary by 945 lei per employee, you have to spend 1,641. With the lunch card, you don't have to pay additionally).

 In addition, your employees:

•  will have the opportunity to make cumulative purchases, depending on their preferences;
•  will not lose the change (in the case of paper vouchers, the merchant does not offer a change)
•  will see their balance online through the Internet Banking system, maib's mobile app, or the bank's ATM network.

• sign the contract for the provision of services with maib;
• Maib issues the cards for all your employees free of charge
