Maib customers now have the option to make payments in the national currency (MDL) even when the available funds in their account do not cover the transaction fee. This measure supports customers by offering greater flexibility and accessibility in managing their daily payments.
To facilitate these operations:
- The payment will be processed even if the available funds do not cover the transaction fees.
- The commission will be considered as a temporary debt and will be automatically paid from available accounts starting the following day.
- No additional costs: the service is free of charge, and no penalties will be applied to the debt generated by the commission.
This initiative has been implemented to ensure the continuity of maib customers' financial operations and better meet their needs more efficiently.
Please note that this feature is available only for payments in MDL and applies to customers in the Corporate and Business Banking segments who subscribe to business packages.
