Maib supports dual education and contributes to the professional training of AESM students

For the first time for higher education in the Republic of Moldova, 6 students in the 1st cycle of the bachelor degree, from the specialties of Applied Informatics and Business Administration (BAA), began the practical activity within maib for 6 weeks, part of the new training model, the dual education.

This model is an alternative form in the higher education system that combines theoretical studies within AESM with periods of practice applied directly in the work field. Within the program's limits, maib hosts ASEM students in periodic internships to develop their professional skills in the actual work environment alongside maib professionals.

Angela Casian, AESM First Vice-rector:

"Launching the dual education pilot program is a challenge and, at the same time, an innovation for higher education system in the country. We are glad to have the support of our reliable partner in this project – maib, as well, the 6 students being already employed in the bank and having the best experiences, successfully applying the theory in practice. We also want the results obtained after the piloting of this dual study format to serve for the development of proposals to amend the legislation for the implementation of dual higher education in the Republic of Moldova"

Ion Moraru, Alexandr Macarov, Cristian Suruceanu are our colleagues who will mentor students in the IT Area, and Ion Lai and Alexandra Cojocaru will make sure that BAA students become the best in the B2B field.

Ion Moraru, mentor, Head of the Analytical Systems and Database Department:

"Behind mentoring is a combination of experience and passion for providing more than just basic information. The development of mentoring depends not only on the mentor’s talent, but also on the dedication to share professional skills, on collaboration with the student regarding the means to achieve the goals, on his commitment to the mentoring program, on the effort they put into implementing the strategies which were discussed with the teachers from AESM. As a mentor, I guide students which are newcomers in this domain so that they see the path they need to follow in achieving professional skills."

The program lasts three years, with students alternating periods of theoretical classes at AESM and those in which they practice within maib. In addition, students are remunerated for periods of professional activity.

Together we take education to the next level!
