Your security is our priority, so we’ve been implementing several actions.
To enhance the security and privacy of your financial transactions, we have set certain limitations on using maib cards embedded in (tokenized) e-wallets - Apple Pay/ Google Pay - or NFC terminals abroad.
They are designed to prevent fraudulent misuse of your payment details and to protect against fraud.
If a payment is declined, we recommend you repeat the transaction and continue using your physical cards to make payments without restrictions.
If you encounter difficulties using your card for contactless payments, we recommend inserting your physical card into the terminal.
We ensure that everything we do is centered on you, the maib customer, and aim to provide a safe and hassle-free banking experience at home and when travelling abroad.
