Announcement on scheduled maintenance work on September 22, 2024

Dear customer,

We continue to work on improving our operational infrastructure to ensure quality services and experiences anywhere and anytime.

Therefore, we would like to inform you that several services will be temporarily unavailable starting at 00:00 on September 22, 2024, as part of a comprehensive modernization process of the maib system.

The work will be completed, and services will be restored around 12:00 p.m. on September 22, 2024.

Services available for individuals during the maintenance work:

  • P2P transfers (transfers between cards);
  • ATM (no currency exchange);
  • Card payments in stores;
  • Online card payments.

Services unavailable for individuals during the maintenance work:

Maibank app:

  • Transfers between (account-to-account, account-to-card, and card-to-account);
  • MIA transfers;
  • IBAN transfers, T2C (receiving international transfers);
  • Credit products;
  • Insurance products;
  • Deposit operations;
  • Card operations (opening new cards, closing cards);
  • Current account operations (opening accounts, withdrawals, account funding);
  • Utility payments;
  • Checking balances on deposits, current accounts, and credit accounts;
  • Updating personal information;
  • Registering new customers.

BankFlex app: all operations in the system.

Aplicația Estatement: generating account statements.

ATM: currency exchange.

Contact Center:

  • Current accounts: consultation regarding executed transactions, balances, and account statements;
  • Loans and deposits: consultation regarding balances, accumulations, and account statements;
  • Checking balances on accounts, deposits, current accounts, and loans.

Self-service terminals will also be disabled during the maintenance work.

For corporate clients and Business Banking customers the following operations will be unavailable during the maintenance work:

  • BankFlex app (any operations, including viewing accounts and balances);
  • maib business app (any operations, including viewing accounts and balances);
  • Estatement app and other electronic channels for generating account statements;
  • Cash top-up at CDM machines.
