INTELIEXPRESS is a fast global money transfer system, founded in 2006 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is the first Georgian money transfer system licensed in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and other post-Soviet states.
INTELIEXPRESS operates a network of over 57,000 locations across approximately 90 countries worldwide, with rapid growth year by year. The system has its own branches in Greece, the United Kingdom, Italy, Georgia, and Turkey. Additionally, it has partnership agreements with various banks and money transfer systems around the world. By leveraging both its own service points and those of its partners, INTELIEXPRESS covers nearly all continents and continues to focus on expanding its network.
How to send money via INTELIEXPRESS?
- Visit any maib branch with a valid identification document (ID card or passport for non-residents);
- Provide the operator with the beneficiary’s details and the amount of money to be sent;
- Pay the applicable service fee* and receive the transfer receipt, which will include the unique transfer code;
- Share the unique transfer code with the recipient. The funds can be collected within minutes after the transaction is completed.
* The fee depends on the transfer amount, transaction currency (EUR, USD, or MDL), destination (Moldova or other countries), and is charged only to the sender. Please refer to the Tariffs page for more information.
How to receive money via INTELIEXPRESS?
- Visit any maib branch with a valid identification document (ID card or passport for non-residents);
- Provide the operator with the unique transfer code, the sender’s full name, the country of origin, currency, and transfer amount;
- Receive the funds along with the receipt.*
*All receipt transactions are free of charge, the commission being paid by the sender.
Cancellation/refund/modification of the money transfer
Modifications, refunds, or cancellations can only be made by the bank operator at the maib branch where the transfer was initiated, provided the transfer has not been received by the beneficiary.
Modifying transfer details:
- Visit maib with a valid identification document;
- Hand over the transfer receipt to the operator and specify the changes you wish to make*;
- Receive a new receipt confirming the modification of the transfer details. There is no fee for modifying transfer details.
*Changes can be made to the beneficiary’s details: first and last name.
Cancelling/ refunding a transfer:
- Visit maib with a valid identification document;
- Hand over the transfer receipt and inform the operator that you wish to cancel or refund the transfer;
- Receive a new receipt and collect the refunded amount.
Please note: The commission paid for sending the money may be refunded at the system’s discretion.
No additional fees are charged for cancellation or refund of the transfer.
