The Scheduled Payments/Transfers service offers you the opportunity to pay bills for utilities on time, without going to maib, as well as to carry out operations between your accounts or in favour of third parties on scheduled dates.
How do you subscribe to the payments / scheduled transfers service?
- If you are a maib customer, come to maib only once to sign the request-contract related to the requested service, through which you authorize the bank to issue payment orders on your behalf.
- If you are not a maib customer but want to benefit from this service and many other advantages, come to the bank, open a card account and subscribe to the maib-sweep, maib-pay and/or maib-invoice services.
What information do you need to give the bank employee?
- Name and surname of the bank account holder;
- Bank account number;
- Periodicity of payments (daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly);
- Maximum and minimum amounts (as needed) of payments.
The advantages offered by the Payments/scheduled transfers service:
- efficiency – the bank takes care of your operations, making the transfers automatically, within the established terms;
- saving time – you are exempt from the need to come to the bank for the periodic presentation of payment orders;
- convenience – the bank takes care of periodic payments;
- information - the bank informs you in real time, through its information channels, about the transactions carried out, the insufficiency of funds in the account to carry out a specific operation, etc.

The Scheduled payments/transfers product includes the following:
- The maib-sweep service (transfer to the balance) – transfer of the account balance to other own accounts within the bank;
- The maib-pay service (scheduled payments) – execution of payments on scheduled dates and in fixed amounts;
- The maib-invoice service (service payments to providers) - direct debit upon payment of invoices.

Through maib-sweep, the scheduled transfer of the account balance is carried out to other own current accounts in the same currency, card accounts or deposit accounts.
Who can benefit from maib-sweep?
Any customer with current accounts or savings deposits, who makes regular transfers between their accounts.
What types of transfers can be made through maib-sweep?
Through maib-sweep, you can transfer to your current account, card account or deposit account:
- the full balance of the account - on a set date, the entire amount will be transferred to another account of yours within the bank.
- account surplus (the amount that exceeds a certain limit set by you) - on the scheduled date, all the amount that will exceed the limit set by you (minimum balance) will be transferred to another account of yours.
In this way, you can increase your savings by transferring amounts from the current account to the deposit account or by transferring the monthly interest to the savings account.
Important: if you choose the account surplus option, it is necessary to maintain the minimum balance in the account at the level established by the contract.
What happens in case of insufficient funds in the account?
Suppose you do not have enough money in your account to carry out the transfer and related fees or other reasons that make it impossible to process transactions on the respective account. In that case, the operation will not be executed, and you will be notified through various information channels owned by the bank.

Through maib-pay, transfers of fixed amounts are made on scheduled dates from the current account to the own accounts or the accounts of third parties.
Who can benefit from this service?
Any customer who holds current accounts or savings deposits and makes regular transfers in fixed amounts to pay debts or certain services.
What types of transfers are made through maib-pay?
Through maib-pay, you can transfer fixed amounts from the current account on scheduled dates:
- in favour of relatives (transfer of an amount to the child’s account as pocket money or to the parents’ account for current expenses);
- for payment of goods or services provided by third parties;
- for paying the monthly payment related to the bank’s services.
The frequency with which the transfer is carried out through maib-pay can be: daily, weekly, montly, or yearly.
Thus, whether it is payments to third parties or periodic transfers between your accounts, with the maib-pay service, your money will arrive punctually at its destination, even if you are not in the country. You must ensure you have the required amount in your account on the due date.
What happens in case of insufficient funds in the account?
Suppose you do not have enough money in your account to carry out the transfer and related fees or other reasons that make it impossible to process transactions on the respective account. In that case, the operation will not be executed, and you will be notified through various information channels owned by the bank.
maib-invoice
Through maib-invoice, you can automatically pay the invoices issued by the utilities, mobile telephony and internet service providers.
Who can benefit from this service?
Any customer who has current accounts and makes regular payment of bills for utilities, mobile telephony and internet.
How does this service work?
When applying, you will set the date, the time interval and the frequency of the invoices’ payment. Thus, depending on these parameters, the bills for utilities will be paid by withdrawing from your account the amount corresponding to the payment invoice issued by the provider.
Depending on each service provider, a maximum payment limit for an invoice can be set at your request. If the invoice amount exceeds this limit, it will not be paid.
Maib will pay the invoices issued by the following organizations on your behalf:
- Infocom
- Moldtelecom (fixed telephony, Unite and MaxDSU/MaxFiber/IPTV)
- Premier Energy (electricity supplier)
- Moldovagaz (natural gas supplier)
- Info Bon (heating and hot water supplier)
- IM Apa – Canal Chisinau*
*meter data must be communicated by phone to the service provider before paying the bill.
What happens in case of insufficient funds in the account?
Suppose you do not have enough money to pay the invoice, and related fees or other reasons make it impossible to process transactions on the respective account. In that case, the invoices indicated in the application will not be paid, and you will be notified through various information channels owned by the bank about this fact, including subsequent payment attempts until the payment is made or the respective invoice expires.
