Moldova Agroindbank is the winner of the Trademark of the Year 2021 competition, awarded three important distinctions for unique projects and excellent results in its activity.
Thus, the bank's record was completed with the awards:
- Golden Mercury in the "Financial Services" category, "Business Online" nomination for the MAIBank app;
- Gold Medal in the category "Financial Services", nomination "Beginning of the Year" for GAMA Cards;
- Honorary diploma in the category "Large enterprises", nomination "Implementation of integrity standards in the private sector".
The distinction for Integrity is the confirmation that the bank makes every effort to implement integrity standards within the company, and through its example and disseminated good practices, facilitates and encourages their development in the private sector.

This diploma reconfirms that the Bank, under the supervision of the Board and with the effort of each employee, has implemented the highest standards of ethics and integrity. During the 7 years, since the Compliance Department has been operational in the MAIB, we have set ourselves the elaboration, the development of the most demanding requirements in the field of Ethics and Compliance. I can only say that this distinction is the appreciation of a continuous, consistent and demanding activity of the Compliance function and, of course, of every MAIB employee!", mentioned Stela Recean, Vice President of the MAIB Steering Committee, responsible for the Compliance and Legality Division.
In December last year, MAIB launched its GAMA card collection, the first cashback card for any purchase. The benefits of the new cards and the customer feedback were analyzed and appreciated by the competition jury, designating MAIB as the winner of the "Beginning of the Year" nomination, thus crowning the most successful launch of the trademark on the domestic market.
"I could talk endlessly about GAMA cards, because they are a unique product in Moldova, with multiple benefits for customers and partners. Through this exclusive series of cards, MAIB contributes to the development of a cashless economy in the Republic of Moldova, rewarding customers for each payment with the card", said Aliona Stratan, First Vice President of MAIB, on the occasion of receiving the Gold Medal.
The third prize won by MAIB is in the "Business online" category for developing MAIBank application functionalities. The criterion of appreciation in that nomination was the marketing strategy aimed at online promotion, increasing the number of consumers and sales volume. In the first months of the year alone, more than 60,000 new MAIBank users signed up for the application. The number of operations and the available functionalities are constantly increasing.
