Best Bank of the Year for the fifth straight year for maib by The Banker

Maib proudly announces that The Banker has named it "Best Bank of the Year" in Moldova for the fifth year in a row. This award proves maib's commitment to innovation and customer-focused financial solutions.

Maib's success is due to the bank's commitment to its customers, which has allowed it to increase its market share steadily. In the Retail segment, the increase in market share has been driven, among other things, by the innovative products offered by maib and their affordability. The modern customer growth model and proactive approach to risk led to the success of the Business Banking (SME) segment, which saw substantial year-on-year growth in market share (6.1pp in Q3, 2023). In addition, having developed the most enduring business relationships, maib's capabilities and expertise enable it to maintain and extend its strong position in the Corporate segment.

Giorgi Shagidze, maib CEO:
"I want to thank The Banker for appreciating our outstanding achievements and contributions to the banking industry in Moldova. Winning the "Best Bank of the Year" award in a row emphasises maib's dedication to providing top financial solutions and services to our clients across all segments. With our excellent team's help, we have set new standards and improved the banking landscape in Moldova. Once again I would like to thank our customers, partners and the entire maib team, who made everything possible to make this award a reality."

We mention that in 2023 maib received several awards internationally, including "Best Bank in Moldova" by EMEA Finance, "Best Bank in Moldova", "Best SME Bank", and "Best CSR Bank" in Moldova by Euromoney, as well as "Best Bank in Moldova" and "Best SME Bank in Moldova" by Global Finance.
