Dedicated, inventive, agile and team-spirited are just a few of the elements which define maib employees.
They proved it one more time during the mini-football tournament, recently organized by maib and attended by 9 teams representing various divisions, branches and departments of the bank.
Defining elements
In addition to t-shirts to represent each team chromatically, the names chosen were hand-picked, the Corporate Mafia, Contact Center Lions, RiskKillers, Bad Boys, Audit Sharks, Collector Ranges, FC Agile, FC iTechnology, and Cardos teams making a splash on the scoreboard.
A textbook tournament
For three weeks, the teams measured their strength on the football field, and the best of the best played the final matches, competing for a place on the podium. The edition's flairs were won by:
- Corporate Mafia (aka the Corporate Customers Department) – the tournament champions
- Bad Boys (aka the Security Service) – 2nd place
- Audit Sharks (aka Internal Audit Department) -3rd place
To give Caesar what belongs to the Caesar, for the sake of truth, we admit that apart from the competition, the team spirit was declared the tournament's official winner.
Tournament prizes
Medals, cups, and the traditional champagne of the champions made the moment of awarding and celebrating the team spirit that characterized the entire competition delicious. In addition, the champions had dinner with the maib CEO, Giorgi Shagidze, who was also one of the football players on the field during this tournament.

We remind you that the maib mini-football team recently returned from the "EURO Business Cup 2022" tournament, which took place in Antalya, Turkey, being the only corporate team from the Republic of Moldova and qualifying among the top 8 in the tournament.
The maib mini-football team was created in 1999, and since then, it has won multiple championships and football tournaments. The maib Football Super League tournament was launched this year, being one of the internal events encouraging employees' passion for football and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
