One of the largest banks in Europe - Commerzbank AG - awarded BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA the Award in commercial payments and interbank transfers for 2014.
The Award was presented to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA, Serghei Cebotari, in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, where the MAIB President attended the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The Award was presented by the Regional Director of Financial Institutions of Commerzbank AG for the CIS and the Baltic States, Axel Nikolaus Bommersheim.
The Award reflects the optimal ratio between the number of payments made and the quality of the completion of payment instructions - STP (Straight Through Processing), registered by MAIB in 2014. It should be noted that Moldova Agroindbank SA has reached one of the highest automatic transfer processing ratios in line with Commerzbank's recommendations, which allow the processing of payments to the bank's customers.
The President of the MAIB, Serghei Cebotari, described the distinction granted by Commerzbank as an appreciation of the performance of Moldova Agroindbank in completing commercial payments and interbank transfers through the corresponding correspondence correspondent banks from different countries of the world. "We thank Commerzbank for this prestigious award which once again shows that BC Moldova Agroindbabnk SA has reached a new level of quality, worthy of a modern European bank, and our customers and partners can still have full confidence in us," mentioned Serghei Cebotari.
Commerzbank AG is one of the largest transnational financial companies in the world. Moldova Agroindbank has been cooperating with Commerzbank as a correspondent bank since 1994. MAIB has the opportunity to make interbank payments through Commerzbank in several international currencies, including the Euro, US Dollar, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, and Chinese Yuan. The current Award is the third in number from this renowned financial institution. Also, in previous years Moldova Agroindbank obtained similar awards from the American bank Citibank.
