Guided by enthusiasm and the desire to conquer new heights, the maib team showed its support for a group of 20 athletes, led by runner Iulian Bercu, athletes passionate about hiking, trekking and mountaineering, on their way to climbing the Island Peak in the Himalayas.
Until the final destination - at the altitude of 6160 meters above sea level, along with the adventurers throughout the journey will be maib alto - the first premium banking service in the Republic of Moldova, which offers customers an individual approach, an exceptional level of comfort, reliability and privacy, unique banking products, efficient time and financial management. Until reaching the final destination - Island Peak, which is planned for early November, the adventurers will one by one overcome new heights in the Himalayas, comparable to the highest peaks on different continents, one of the last stops being Everest Base Field (5364m).

The journey has already started by climbing some peaks in the Carpathians and Bucegis in Romania, such as Ciucaș Peak (1954m) and Omu Peak (2504m), these experiences having the training role in mountain and rock conditions, similar to the challenges that are coming in the great ascension.
Before going on the great adventure, the compatriots plan to organize an offline meeting in Butuceni to offer climbing lessons to those who want to learn how to do it. The end of the expedition will climax with the publication of a video about the adventure.
