Moldova Agroindbank won the Gold Award of the Association of Central and Eastern European Banks

BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA was awarded the Gold Prize of the Association of Central and Eastern European Banks (BACEE) for excellent presentation, transparency and comprehensive disclosure of information in the annual report for 2015. The award was presented at the 33rd Regional Banking Conference, held on October 17 in Budapest.

"The Gold Award given by the Association of Central and Eastern European Banks is proof of MAIB's confidence in both the national and regional banking systems. It has been nine years since our bank has been a member of this regional forum. During that time, the team of professionals of the Association carefully analyzed our activity and appreciated our effort, confirming each time that MAIB is a stable, transparent and efficient bank. We are glad that this year too, despite the difficult economic situation, we are the only bank in Moldova that receives this prestigious international award", said Serghei Cebotari, Chairperson of the bank's Management Committee.

The Central and Eastern European Banks Association Award was given following a through analysis of the MAIB Annual Report on the Balance Sheet, Profit Evolution, Economic and Financial Activity, Credit and Deposit Status, Risk Management, Bank Governance, etc., which revealed promising results. The report is a large document, prepared following international reporting standards and confirmed by the independent audit firm. It is available on the MAIB website in Romanian, Russian and English.

The current edition of the Regional Banking Conference included, in addition to awarding the best reports, presentations and debates on the situation of banks in the region in the context of political and economic developments in the European Union and Eastern Europe, the impact of Brexit on the regional banking system, risks and opportunities, market investment, banking security issues, new marketing technologies and innovations. The conference was also an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts and share professionals’ views on various challenges in the banking environment.

Note: BACEE was established in 1996 to expand and strengthen the collaborative relationship between the Association's member banks and financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. The organization, based in Budapest, brings together 32 banks and banking associations from Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, France, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic, and Turkey, Azerbaijan, Albania, etc. Moldova Agroindbank has been a member of the Association of Central and Eastern European Banks since 2007.
