MasterCard's global payment and technology company has been awarded its best partner among commercial banks in the Republic of Moldova. BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA, a bank with a record number of MasterCard cards issued on the Moldovan banking market, was awarded the title "Top Issuer 2014" ("Best Issuer").
The diploma and wishes for continued success to MAIB representatives by Vera Platonova, MasterCard Manager for Ukraine and Moldova, during MasterCard Day in Moldova.
"This appreciation is due to the sustained efforts of Moldova Agroindbank in the field of issuing MasterCard cards and developing the card business, our bank becoming the largest issuer in the Republic of Moldova during 2014", commented Cristina DOROŞ, Vice Chairman of the Management Committee of the bank.
The collaboration relations between BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA and the MasterCard company have almost 15 years of a unique experience. MAIB issues a wide range of MasterCard bank cards, including Premium class - MasterCard Gold and MasterCard Platinum. A significant achievement that marked the partnership between Moldova Agroindbank and MasterCard in 2014 was the launch of the "MasterCard PayPass" contactless card and the massive development by MAIB of the contactless MasterCard acceptance network.
MAIB is the Moldovan banking system leader, including the number of bank cards in circulation on the local market, with a share of 22%. Holders of bank cards issued by BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA have easy access to an extensive card acceptance network, the bank holding a market share of ATMs at 19% and POS terminals at 22%.
