Maib and the Technical University of Moldova inaugurate 5 newly renovated auditoriums to support the digital future of Moldova’s youth

Maib and the Technical University of Moldova (TUM) have officially inaugurated five newly renovated auditoriums at the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business (FIEB). This initiative, supported financially by maib, is an integral part of an educational development project aimed at creating an environment helpful to the training of future IT and economic specialists in the country.

The renovation activities have been carried out under the guidance of interior designer Dumitru Cărbuni, who drew inspiration from maib's brand book to create a harmonious and modern space. Volunteers Daniela Machedon and Daniela Popescu, who contributed to the project, emphasized that the new auditoriums and lecture halls will provide a much more pleasant atmosphere for students, encouraging them to engage in the educational process more actively.

Giorgi Shagidze, maib CEO:

“The investment in the FIEB UTM infrastructure is a manifestation of maib's commitment to education and social responsibility. For us, supporting this initiative is more than a philanthropic action, but a strategic investment in the future of young people in the Republic of Moldova. We want to actively contribute to the development of digital and economic skills, thus supporting the transformation of our country into a hub of innovation and academic excellence."

Viorel Bostan, Rector of TUM:

“The university community is delighted and deeply appreciative as we inaugurate these newly renovated spaces, which will significantly improve the studying and research conditions at the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business. Through this generous act, maib demonstrates its commitment to higher education and invests in the future of our youth, enhancing the quality of education in our country."

Maib's engagement with TUM extends beyond financial support. The bank's IT experts are actively involved in various educational events, including soft skills workshops and tech talks, and serve as evaluators and jury members in competitions and hackathons that recognize exceptional student achievements.

Through this initiative, maib continues to strengthen the connection between the private and educational sectors, demonstrating that such partnerships are essential for creating a well-prepared society for future challenges.
