BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA was included in the top 100 largest banks in Southeast Europe by total assets as of December 31, 2011, conducted by the international agency SEE News, based in Sofia.
With the most considerable assets in the country's banking system, exceeding 600 million euros, Moldova Agroindbank was ranked 88th out of the 100 largest banks in the Southeast European region. The best result was obtained by the two Moldovan banks included in the "SeeNews TOP 100 SEE Banks" ranking. MAIB surpassed the second bank by 6 points in the hierarchy, confirming its status as an undisputed national leader.
The ranking also included the largest financial-banking institutions in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia. Data from more than 240 banks in the region were analyzed, including foreign bank representations.
BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA is the largest bank in Moldova according to the level of assets, which reached a historical level in the first half of this year, exceeding the amount of 10.24 billion lei.
In 2009, the assets of BC "Moldova Agroindbank" SA amounted to 7.819 billion lei. In 2010 - 8.388 billion lei, in 2011 - 9.2 billion lei.
