We continue to stand by the Ukrainian citizens who have taken refuge in our country. Continuing the support actions carried out by maib, together with the strategic partner Mastercard, we announce the arrangement of a mobile point at Moldexpo, where refugees can receive free bank cards.
Instant bank cards, Mastercard Gold type, are issued in Moldovan lei, immediately at the request of the person and can be supplied at any maib branch or agency, as well as at the bank's ATMs. If the requested cards are in euro or US dollar, they will be delivered in the following days through the Delivery Service to the indicated address or to any branch of the bank. Bank cards are accepted anywhere in the world.
To open a bank card, non-residents must present a valid foreign passport or available national identity card (ID card). Up to 10,000 euros can be deposited on the card, without presenting the documents confirming the origin of the funds.
We underline that for card payments in Moldova there is no amount limit, they can be used for both online and offline transactions. We encourage the use of bank cards for any need and avoid cash, including pressure on ATMs for cash withdrawals.
At the same time, we would like to announce that maib has increased the limit of withdrawals in the bank's ATM network for cards issued by Ukrainian banks. From February 28, they can withdraw up to 4000 MDL and / or the equivalent of 100 USD for withdrawals in foreign currency.
