Today MAIB and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) signed a new Partnership Agreement to jointly implement a series of academic, research and educational projects. The Agreement was signed today by Giorgi Shagidze, MAIB CEO, and Grigore Belostecinic, the Head of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
The Agreement outlines areas of cooperation on educational matters, internships with the bank for ASEM students, career days, training programs and other events in order to integrate MAIB, as the employer of choice, into the educational process. Beginning from September, MAIB employees will give public lessons for ASEM students monthly, thus contributing to the preparedness and offering students important inputs from real business.
MAIB CEO gave the first public lecture for ASEM students. Giorgi Shagidze spoke about the important trends in banking in the short, medium and long term, the next level vision for MAIB, agile approach in modern banking, concrete steps for a successful career in banking and other.
Around 70 students and graduates attended the event, which provided a motivation and guidance for attendees, many of whom were selected in MAIB internship program.
Giorgi Shagidze, MAIB CEO, said:

The aim of this Partnership Agreement is to be more present in the educational process for the benefit of the students, which in turn would raise the quality of future employees. Grigore Belostecinic, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova Rector, said:
"This year both ASEM and MAIB mark an important 30th anniversary, an additional reason to initiate a new collaboration agreement at a higher level and for the benefit of both parties. We need a more active involvement of companies, potential employers of our graduates in all activities organized in ASEM, starting with curriculum, course content, real business case situations, internships – these are important areas where MAIB can help us increase the quality of tuition.
At the same time, as an employer, MAIB will be able to benefit from better prepared ASEM graduates who will fit more easily in the business activities of the bank”.
