Moldova's representatives at the international Eurovision Song Contest 2023, Pasha Parfeni and his team, returned home. They performed on stage in Liverpool, performing the song "Soarele și Luna" in Romanian.
During the press conference organized on the occasion of their return to Chisinau, the team members reported on the amalgam of emotions experienced both in the semi-final and the grand final, the challenges they had during the participation and the warmth of Moldovans everywhere.
Pasha Parfeni, Singer, representative of the Republic of Moldova in Eurovision 2023:
„First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support. We have had literally fantastic adventures and, certainly, the Republic of Moldova was represented this year at Eurovision by a team of professionals, and I was delighted to represent our country with them. In addition to the result obtained in the contest - the 18th place, now we occupy the 22nd place in the top 50 most listened songs in the world. The fact that we are appreciated by the public, and listened internationally is the most precious reward we can have. We would not have been able to achieve such achievements without the support of our partners and I want to express my gratitude to maib for all the support and partnership”.
Maib supported the participation of the Republic of Moldova in Eurovision this year as well, supporting both national values and the integration, including through culture, of the Republic of Moldova in the common European space. Through this partnership, maib continued supporting the development of culture, promoting local artists and bringing fans closer to quality European music.
Aliona Stratan, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board maib:
"I experienced many positive emotions watching the evolution of Pasha and his team on the stage in Liverpool stage. I am incredibly proud to state that we have extraordinary talents repeatedly. Our performers demonstrated an unprecedented stage performance, energetic and good mood. For us, they are winners, and we are glad we had the opportunity to support them. At the same time, the entire maib team greatly appreciated Pasha's message and the call to act responsibly towards the planet by planting trees.
