The first stage of the FinTech 2021 Vertical - Hackathon - chose its Winners. Eight Teams, out of the ten formed within the Competition, mobilized to generate Project ideas that would add value to Banking. These presented the best Startup ideas proposed to be implemented in the Banking field thus, the Teams that will move on to the next stage – MAXelerator, are as follow: the Fraud-less, Shekels, Invoice Processing, Piata-auto, MaiPay, Supertax, PayA and Fagura.
The Projects were evaluated by seven Jurors:

All the Projects presented derive from the Digital direction that MAIB continues to develop for its Clients, and we are glad that the Participants took it into account. As I earlier mentioned,- the World’s Future is - Digital. You’re the future, and we want to partner with you", said Giorgi Shagidze.
It is worth mentioning that at this Year's Edition of the Hackathon were registered a record number of 78 Participants from Moldova, USA and India – young People passionate about IT, Entrepreneurship, Banking and Startups.
In the next stage - MAXelerator, the selected Teams will benefit from Resources and Support to develop Fintech Products and move to the next level - Piloting.
The Fintech 2021 Vertical will end with a Conference attended by Experts, Startups and all those associated with the Financial Industry. At this Event there will be discussed the Industry Challenges, Consumer Needs and the Potential of Fintech Solutions for building new Business Models through which Banks, Financial Services Companies and other Market Players could provide the best Services to Customers and Business Partners.
