The best athletes of the country – awarded at the Olympic evening event

For about three decades, maib has supported the country’s sports and Olympic performance

The best of the best athletes from the Republic of Moldova, who brought our fame abroad and won victories, hoisting the country’s flag at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, and beyond were awarded by the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova (CNOS) for their successes in 2022.

The award and cheering of the performances took place at the Olympic evening event, an event that gathered athletes, coaches, dignitaries and journalists to celebrate the spirit and values of the Olympic values, maib supporting the event and upholding the country’s performing athletes for about three decades.

For all the support that maib has offered and continues to offer to the Olympic activity and the performances of Moldovan athletes, the bank received a special gratitude award during the Olympic evening event.

The Olympic evening event is a suitable atmosphere to express gratitude to the economic agents who support our athletes.

The Olympic family particularly appreciates the collaboration with maib. CNOS has the longest partnership with the most powerful bank, promoting sports and the Olympic movement in the country. With particular pleasure, I notice that maib employees also have an active lifestyle and regularly do sport, learning to improve themselves and strive to be the best."

The canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi was designated "The best male athlete of 2022",winning the gold medal at the World Championship in Canada, and the wrestler Anastasia Nichita received the title of "The best female athlete of 2022", obtaining four victories at The World Indoor Athletics Championship for seniors from Belgrade in the 59kg weight category.

At the same time, during the event, the National Olympic Committees of Moldova and Romania signed a collaboration agreement for the next four years, including a mutual support plan in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics and the promotion of sports in the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
