Maib, in partnership with Mastercard, Paynet, RTEC, PUA and Chișinău City Hall, continues to improve the experience of paying for a ride on public transport in the capital. Now you can pay with your bank card, phone or smartwatch at stationary validators installed on several trolleybus and bus routes in Chisinău.
Which routes are equipped with validators?
- Trolleybuses on routes: 3, 22, 23, 24, 30.
- Buses on routes: 2 and 5.
How to pay for a ride with this validator?
You have three payment options:
- by card;
- by smartphone;
- by smart watch.
As soon as you pay for your ride with the validator, you will receive a payment confirmation notification:
- In the bank app;
- SMS.
And if you haven't received the notification, check the bank's mobile app for the statement (receipt).
How to prove to the ticket checker that you have paid for your trip via the validator?
Upon the ticket inspector's request, bring the card or device you used to pay for your ride to the POS terminal.
The inspector will receive a notification confirming your cashless payment.
The POS mobile terminal, held by the ticket inspector, is only a verification tool for the electronic payment made at the validator. It does NOT withdraw money from your account.
