50 TUM students developed their data skills in a hackathon organised with the support of maib

Data is the basis of everything we know about the world around us and the society we live in, and data professionals need a complex set of skills that should be improved constantly.

In this context, maib supports initiatives that aim to invest in the skills  development of those working in this field and future professionals. Thus, the Technical University of Moldova, in partnership with maib, organised a hackathon entitled "Database Management - 2024", dedicated to students eager to explore and advance in the field of databases.

The sixth edition of the competition was attended by 50 students, who formed 10 teams and developed projects on the topic "Consumer loans. Designing a logical database." During the competition, the participants had the opportunity to understand this banking product better and actively engage in its design and automation process.

Besides the valuable information gained, students had the opportunity to learn from representatives of companies with broad experience in the field, present at the event and as jury members. Thus, the jury awarded six of the best and most innovative projects, receiving constructive feedback and useful advice for their future work.
