30 years of Social Responsibility: MAIB donates Medical Equipment worth one million MDL to the Emergency Medicine Institute

Part of the Medical Devices intended for Intensive Care Unit is unique in Moldova and extremely necessary for saving Lives 



Education, Sports, Health, Culture and Arts are areas that Moldova Agroindbank has been supporting over time. The Bank endorses the best Athletes in the Country, Students with the highest academic Performance, Artists with valuable Projects and, especially during the last year - the Medical Staff. 

For over 30 years, Moldova Agroindbank has had loyal Customers and reliable Partners. 

Therefore, on its Anniversary, the Bank decided to make a Present to the entire Society– by donating Intensive Care Medical Equipment worth 1,000,000 MDL to the Emergency Medicine Institute of Moldova (EMI), in such a way rewarding the community for choosing us and for the confidence in MAIB. 

Following the consultations with the Intensive Care Practitioners, the following equipment has been identified and delivered:
 

- 5 Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Devices for the Prophylaxis of Venous Thrombosis – there are no such Devices in our Country;

- 5 Hot air Cannons for heating the Patient (unique to EMI, there are currently only five in the Country);

- 10 High Flow Oxygen Therapy devices. 

The medical equipment for the Intensive Care Unit of the EMI is vital for saving lives both during the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, and in regular Conditions of providing medical Assistance and saving Patients.

The 30 years Anniversary of MAIB could not remain in history without thanking the society for all the trust, support and loyalty it has given us over the years.  

Last two years we have seen sacrifice, courage, persistence, and dedication of devoted healthcare workers and doctors. This time has revealed the need to support them so that they can do more to help our society and people.  It is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to them and to all of you on our anniversary. After 30 years, next Level for MAIB will bring many more projects for the society, community and environment”, stated Giorgi Shagidze, MAIB CEO.

We want to thank “Valeriu Ghereg” Medical Foundation for their support in providing this vital Medical Equipment and for their dedication. 

Previously, within the “Easy Breathing” Project, MAIB donated 50,000 MDL for strengthening technical Capacities and Human Resources in Public Medical Institutions that assist the SARS-CoV-2 Patients. There have also been purchased two non-invasive BiPAP-type ventilation devices. One of them was provided to “Chiril Draganiuc” IMPS Institute of Phthisiopulmonology, and the second – to the Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection. 

At the beginning of the Pandemic, MAIB provided 500,000 MDL financial support to the “Toma Ciorba” Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases, for the material support of the Medical Staff involved in the fight against SARS-CoV-2, but also for the acquisition of vital Medical Equipment and the necessary Supplies.
