We inform you that to comply with the legal provisions in force, the following functionalities will be suspended as of May 14, 2024:
- Cash-In by Code - topping up the card with cash in MDL at the maib Cash-in/Recycling ATM by entering the special code generated in the maibank mobile app;
- Cash by Code - withdrawing cash from the card without physically using the card at the ATM, based on a code generated in the maibank mobile app;
- Topping up by card number: topping the card with cash in MDL, USD, or EUR at the maib ATM without physically using the card but entering the 16-digit card number.
We encourage you to use the following cash withdrawal/cash-out methods at maib ATMs:
- Cash-out via NFC: If you have cards attached to your phone (Apple or Google Pay), bring your phone close to the NFC display. Digital cardholders can withdraw cash expressly via this method. The option is available at maib ATMs. See the map here.
- Physical card - insert the card into the ATM or, if the ATM is equipped with NFC technology, touch the card to the NFC display.
To top up your card/cash-in at maib ATMs, please opt for the following method:
- Physical card - insert the card into the ATM.
The currency exchange service at maib ATMs will operate as usual.
