Dear customer,
As of January 1, 2024, the bank will withhold a tax of 6% from interest paid to individuals resident in the Republic of Moldova.
This change concerns interest on deposits, current and card accounts, interest on corporate securities issued by the bank and interest income from government securities earned by resident individuals.
For non-resident individuals, the tax rate on interest paid will remain unchanged at 12%.
The index modification is carried out per the provisions of Law no. 212 of 20.07.2023, which amended Article 901, paragraphs (37) and (38) of the Tax Code of the Republic of Moldova.
