From January 1 2025, following the evolution of the international reference indices EURIBOR 6M and SOFR, the interest rate on mortgage loans in foreign currency granted by maib to individuals will decrease.
From January 1 to June 30, 2025, the value of the reference index will be:
- 2.68% on loans in EUR;
- 4.64% for loans in USD.
You can check how much the interest rate will be with a simple calculation:
Interest rate = reference rate (shown above, depending on the currency of the loan) + bank margin (you will find the figure in the contract).
From January 3, 2025, the new loan repayment plan will be available in branch and/or on the maibank mobile app.
